Ranch Kitchen Remodel
This kitchen redo was for a modest 1950s ranch and was done on a budget. It opened up the previously enclosed mud room and small kitchen and incorporated it into the family room. A removable hammock was added to break up the space if desired, and to create a zone in which to relax while watching everything going on. We handmade the leather cabinet pulls and collaborated with the contractors to create floating shelves for a fraction of the cost quoted by others (there are pipe flanges nailed to the internal wall and carefully drilled holes in each of the shelves where a pipe nestles in with a perfect fit). They are solid walnut from Goby Hardwoods. Architecture by Anne McCulloch studio. Build by Evergreen Craftsmen.
